DIRECTOR, YOUTH COMMITTEE
The Director has overall responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting all aspects of the Youth Committee and its sub-committees. Also included is verbal and written information-sharing with fellow club members, updating “their” pages and the Calendar on the Sequim Sunrise website, providing quality and timely input for the club bulletin, making arrangements with one of the club photographers for photo coverage of events and projects, and regularly attending the monthly Board of Directors meeting. This year’s Director, Youth is listed on the “Officer’s & Directors” page of the web site.
Formerly the "Vocational Service Committee" and now the "Youth Committee" under the "New Leadership Plan," the activities of this committee include the following:
1. Selection of students for the Rotary Youth Exchange Program (this program is dormant).
2. Middle School Student of the Month awards
3. High School Vocational Student of the Month awards
4. Assisting in the evaluation of SHS Senior Speeches
5. RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly
6. INTERACT - a high school student, Rotary-related service club sponsored by Sequim Sunrise Rotary.
7. Evaluation of applicants and granting of college scholarships to SHS graduates
