"Membership" refers to information sharing, adding to the Rotary knowledge base of existing members, providing information for new or proposed members, and so forth. CLASSIFICATION COMMITTEE- A "classification" is essentially a person's occupation, business, or profession.  Rotary International requirements are that a Rotary club of our club's size can not elect a person to active membership from the same classification if that action will result in making up more than 10 percent of the club's active membership. Members who are retired are not included in the total number of members in a classification. Rotary clubs are required to make a classification survey of the community no later than August 31st of each year.
